The Hummingbird Balloon

The Hummingbird balloon came to school. It was huge! It was so exciting to see it inflated. Mrs TB and Mrs Malligan had a little ride!

Hot Air Balloons

The Hummingbird hot air balloon is coming to Firth tomorrow. The Pilot comes from America.
We drew hot air balloons in Kidpix. They look amazing!

Hangi

 Today was hangi day. It was interesting to watch it all happen. It started with peeling vegetables.

 The fire was lit.

 The sacks were taken off.

 The food was taken out.

 The Kapa Haka sung before we ate.

Kapa Haka Uniforms

Whaea Louise is having a hangi at school on Wednesday the 26th March. Dinner is $10 per person. The money is to buy Kapa Haka uniforms for Firth School. Whaea tried these uniforms on Room 3 to see how the look. We think they look gorgeous.
