The Disco

Reusing.

Prestin used a plastic bottle to make a catching toy.

Nadjala used some cardboard and fruit pots to make a robot.

 Haydn made a robot from a box. Maya made a lamb from a tissue box.

Duffy Assembly

 We had Duffy Assembly today. Ngahihi Bidois came to school. He showed us all the books he reads.

 Riley and Sandra are the helpers this week. They collected the Duffy books for Room 11.

Visiting Teachers

Some teachers came to Firth School to see us using the i pads. Mr Eldridge came to Room 11 with 3 teachers. We showed them lots of aps that we can use. They asked us ?'s too.

Mr X and the worms

 Mr X showed us different things for compost.

 The worms are in the wormery. They are fed vegetables and fruit. The worm wee gets reused. It goes on plants as fertiliser.

 We had to sort the recycling, compost and reusing.

Mr X the recycling man.

 Mr X came to teach Room 9 and 11 about reusing and recyling. He was funny!

 We do not put these in the rubbish, we put these in the recycling bin. We have a green bin for plastic, glass, tins, newspaper and cardboard.

 He made a fizzy bottle into a game with a ball.

 He made tins into telephones.

 He made large cans into stilts. They were fun!

 He made his old holey socks into puppets.
