Safety Vests.
Firth
Primary is taking part in a Safety Vest trial as part of Nieve’s Science Fair
Project at the Intermediate. Nieve discovered that only 10% of children who had
safety vests wore them! One school has 100% success with their vests, the only
difference, the child has their name on the vest, rather than a number. Plumb Co
have sponsored trial vests for her project. Elise and Lily have Nieve’s vests
on.

Our Writing Award
Mrs Malligan gave Room 3 a writing award. She was so impressed with our story writing that she gave the whole class an award.
Healthy Take-aways.
Mrs McKay taught us about how much fat is in take-away foods. The best ones to eat are Subway, Sushi and chicken and salad from the supermarket.
This is what your heart looks like if you eat too much fat. Yuck! Look after your heart. Eat healthy foods.

Lily's Fairy Ring
Lily made a Fairy Ring at home. She put "stuff" in it. Her dad saw a light by the ring. The fairies had taken the things and left a lollypop! Wow!

Whaea Louise
Whaea Louise is teaching us rakau. We were passing to the left, maui, to the right, matau, and to the front, mua.
Mrs McKay
Mrs McKay talked to us about the Home Play Challenge. We will try to exercise each day and try to have a piece of fruit in our lunch box every day. We had a cool challenge, keeping the balloon ball in the air for more than 19 hits. Room 3 did it, 29 hits!
