Swimming

We are swimming in the school pool. It is warm. It is heated by the sun. We have lots of fun. Room 11 and 9 swim together. On Friday we had some children from Room 5 who came swimming with us.

 

Book Parade

 We had book parade today. We dressed up as a character from a book. It was fun!

Dawn McMillan

 We had an art activity. We had to paint for 10 mins and fill the whole page!

Dawn McMillan came to school. She writes lots of books. We have some in the school library and reading boxes. She read, "I need a new bum!" We laughed! She read The Pancake Attack.

Visiting Authors

 Geronimo Stilton came to visit. He could not talk so we had to ask Yes and No questions. He is 21. He eats nuts and cheese.

 Mr McGuire read us a story about hens laying eggs. He had funny teeth. We liked his story!

 Mrs Senokol read us a story about a Fire Fly. She had yellow hair and yellow wings.

Book Week

 Room 2 wrote stories about Grandma McGarvey. They came to Room 11 to read them to us. We enjoyed the story and the illustrations.

Room 10 came to Room 11 to read their stories too.

Ruben the Bear

Ruben came to school to teach us how to cross the road.  He showed us how to make our helmets click and our seat belts click.
